sub....looks like this post was missed from this a.m.

I suppose I should try the patch above and leave debug on?

QAM cable is also working great on HVR-1600 with .ts multirec and <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnRecord> off.

Try that latest patch.

If it still has problems, try capturing that c\temp\recording-x.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

It looks like this fixed problem. I now have great .ts files on anything I try. Thanks again.

@dennit

Did you successfully decrypt the ts offline? The files I recorded were all missing the ECM PID so I was unable to decrypt. I haven't had time to do much testing just left some stuff running overnight and when I checked them this morning before work I found they were all missing the PID, hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to run some tests.

@sub
I did a fresh install of GBPVR and applied the psi-patch and made 1 min manual record which contained the ECM, then applied the patch for the multirecord for encrypted channels and set up a few movies to record overnight and they came out without the ECM PID. I only changed the GBPVRbackendcommon from this post and added the line into the config.xml.
I will try the later versions of GBPVRbackendcommon that you put up and retest tonight.

Thanks

sub Wrote:Ok, here are some patches for you to try. Backup the original files first, then apply these updates.

With these three updated files, I'm now able to scan and find the Nasa TV channel, record it, and play that recording back. All three of those areas needed changes, which is why there is three patch files.

Its only lightly tested, but I'm fairly confident it should work.

hi,

not sure if anyone else is having this issue.

when i apply this patch (and also re-register the .ax files) - PVRX2 bombs out suddenly. Usually within a few seconds of starting viewing live tv ... but sumtimes after few mins.

When i put back the old .ax files (that i had backed up prior to patch), then re-register them it all works ok.

Funny thing is that when pvrx2 bombs out - i can see the recording service is still going - and the status shows livetv (on what ever channel i was watching).

not sure which of the 3 .ax files are the cause tho.

i checked the logs - and it would appear that there is no time to log anything in the logs prior to it bombing out - as the last entry was choosing which channel to watch.

No, I was not able to decrypt offline. Since I had never done it before, I spent some time with different options... trying to figure out how it should work, but ultimately decided it was lacking the ECM PID as you found.
