not sure if anyone else is having this issue.

when i apply this patch (and also re-register the .ax files) - PVRX2 bombs out suddenly. Usually within a few seconds of starting viewing live tv ... but sumtimes after few mins.

When i put back the old .ax files (that i had backed up prior to patch), then re-register them it all works ok.

Funny thing is that when pvrx2 bombs out - i can see the recording service is still going - and the status shows livetv (on what ever channel i was watching).

not sure which of the 3 .ax files are the cause tho.

i checked the logs - and it would appear that there is no time to log anything in the logs prior to it bombing out - as the last entry was choosing which channel to watch.

after trying 1 file at a time - its appears to be the psiparser.ax file.

I tried Offline Decoder 2.5. (also seemed to be referred to as Offline CSA when it ran) I wasn't sure exactly what PIDs to select with the check boxes. It cranked up emunation and showed an SID, PMT, one video and two audios, but the ECM PID seemed to be required, and it wasn't there.

I tried TSOffDec, but it wanted gbox or mbox.

In order to get an encrypted file recorded to play with, I tried a full ts recording with GBPVR. TSReader can run in file mode to pull that in and, in theory, demux the streams and decrypt one with the emunation plugin. I was able to get the full ts recording, and get it into TSReader in file mode with the emu plugin working. It was fascinating, but I got lost in setting up a manual channel, and all the PAT, TOT, TDT, SDT, EIT and NIT data. After an hour of reading on TS format, it slowly began to sink in what it all meant, but I never quite got the correct manual channels set up, and wasn't sure if the ECM data was in there. If it was, I couldn't find it or pull out any video from the full TS.

I then tried to get some encrypted data with DVBDream and a stream recorder plugin - just to play with. That recorded a file which showed the ECM PID, which is about where I left off, thinking that the ECM was missing from the second (encrypted) files I was recording inside GBPVR. I was hoping someone else might steer me towards the answer.

I applied the patches and got a problem with live tv as well so went back to the originals. PS It also does not find anymore channels than it did before and still misses Virgin One

I just saw this bomb out on live tv, too. Same symptoms of showing a green tray icon and status saying it's watching live TV on the bombed out live channel.

I have been using Offline Decoder 2.5 and it works fine with ncemucam. When you analyse the ts file the ECM shows up on all the files I made before updating the the GBPVRBackendCommon. Now the ECM PID is just missing when I analyse the stream in offline decoder. I am going to change it back to old one tonight when I get home and make sure that this is what caused the problem.
By the way for me when using offline decoder I select all the PID's even the ones that show up as unknown and then process it.

When I first installed this patch, playing from the PCH I had several live tv crashes and memory problem including Vista Data Proctection pop ups and I lost all ability to control the analog and digital tuners on my HVR 1600 even with restarting the recording service. Other apps could read the tuner. I finally did a full reboot which I usually only do every few weeks and it seems to have cleared the problem.

Did you successfully decrypt the ts offline? The files I recorded were all missing the ECM PID so I was unable to decrypt. I haven't had time to do much testing just left some stuff running overnight and when I checked them this morning before work I found they were all missing the PID, hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to run some tests. lied the psi-patch and made 1 min manual record which contained the ECM, then applied the patch for the multirecord for encrypted channels and set up a few movies to record overnight and they came out without the ECM PID. I only changed the GBPVRbackendcommon from this post and added the line into the config.xml.
I will try the later versions of GBPVRbackendcommon that you put up and retest tonight.
No, I was not able to decrypt offline. Since I had never done it before, I spent some time with different options... trying to figure out how it should work, but ultimately decided it was lacking the ECM PID as you found.
This version should give you the ECM PID.

Nothing really springs to mind, but reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Just tried this out and it works a treat so far, will do some more testing just to be sure.

Thanks for all the help.
