The attached is a repackaging of those same patches tested over the last couple of pages, to give the most recent set in one downloadable archive for the survival guide.

A note for others - sub didn't put the special GBPVRBackendCommon in there. That's the one that allows multidec/multirec with: <BDAAllowMultiRecordOnEncrypted>true</BDAAllowMultiRecordOnEncrypted> in config.xml. That file is here.

sub Wrote:Try that latest patch. UncleJohnsBand Wrote:Thanks....I have it loaded up now we'll see what happens. sub...logs attached......very strange......I had 2 out of 3 recordings fail last night....ran test today with 4 hours (recording 3 channles at once) and worked fine...setup another test for 1 hour of recordings (all 3 channels again) and I got a 0 length on this one. I loaded the psi roll-up above and the c:\temp logs as well as the recording service gbpvr logs attached. Edit: I noticed in the c:\temp logs that the 0 byte recording has a 0 byte log and that one of the other logs stopped logging at 19:29. One of the shows was an hour long and the other shows were 1/2 hour shows. The hour long show recorded fine. The first two 1/2 hour shows recorded fine. It appears when the last two 1/2 hour shows were to record the one log stopped logging (it appears to be the hour long show). The one 1/2 hour show started a new log and recorded fine but the other 1/2 hour show became the 0 byte show and log.

I'm pretty sure your problem is unrelated to the rest of the problems that were investigated in this thread (which I'm confident we've now nailed). I'm guessing its something HDHR related, possibly to do with the network PID filtering. I'm not quite sure what we'll do to track down the cause.
The record-x.log logging wasnt forced flushed to disk. I've attached a version which will do this, and hopefully give a little more info.

Ok....I have loaded this version in and will do some more testing.....I am wondering what happend in the last month or so....perhaps a HDHR firmware upgrade or something....very strange indeed....

On my setup, with these patches, PVRX2 suddenly closes on live tv without error message. Running 1.311 with just these 3 patches.
Rolling back to the files from the install package fixes the problem. Logs attached. Best Guido

Are you able to record?
2009-02-08, 05:27 PM
Yes. The recording service continues.
However, there is something else. I was trying out bgowlands dvb-s-radio (non public release). Removing the plugin cured the problem (disabling and stopping the service wasn't enough) - now everything is working with either the patched or the original files. BR Guido
