Didn't see that tool. Cool... I'm going to start cleaning up some of the samples in the EPGtools site, and make sure there's directory navigation...

Zehd,

I've uploaded a 30mb cut from one of the SD TS files I was using to sort out the V/A sync problem.

Same share as I PM'd you last time.

Have to say I was really looking forward to being able to use TS files and the multi record facilities that come with it but am beginning to realise the loss of "live" tv on my MVPs or not having the ability to play a file on the MVP whilst it's recording may cause a riot in my house. Until now, I've not used the "server" for direct playback only the 4 x MVPs.

Now if someone could crack that problem, it would be a real bonus!Smile

LiveTV SD ts streams to mvpmc shouldn't be a problem from GBPVR, the issue is the OSD and file navigation. When zehd passes me a link I have to find out why you have the 1.5 second sync issue that is severe.

Martin,

The audio problem is only if you use the "copy" command with either vcodec and/or acodec. Specifying a different codec for each cures the problem.

I know, and that is what concerns me with mvpmc since the demux is basically doing a copy-like mux to mpeg-ps on the fly.

If its the channel 4 clip, I got it. I have a solution for it...

With ZTranscode, select the 4ts profile, select the 4ts template, and click reset (THis just gives me a baseline)

Now select ffmpeg (rather than the ffmpeg-alt.exe) for preferred transcoder and then save.

That should get you to transcoding the SD A/V sync...

Ok, I got the file and it does play with mvpmc pass through from GBPVR, but the problem with ffmpeg is this is a complex file with many, many PID's over the third of the file get's stripped during the conversion so some time sync'ing is required. I found mencoder with the following options do a pretty good job, I'm sure you could do it on-the-fly with an average machine.

-oac copy -ovc copy -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf -o test.mpg

This does keeps the aspect ratio flag so it plays 16:9 fine.
