I have been running GBPVR with a MVP for the last year 1/2 using a set top box (digital to analog converter).
I have now upgraded my pc. I am running Vista 64 and I have gbpvr installed. I have changed the dongle to the suggested Hauppauge dongle and have the MVP working... Sort of. I get the main screen on the mvp, I can go virtually everywhere in the interface. But when I try to watch live tv, the channel doesn't change. When I try to channel up or down, the screen goes black and I have to restart the MVP.
I have verified with blastconfig that my set top box does correctly change channels.
The other weird thing is that on my pc using PVRx2, I don't get a TV guide, and none of my settings such as video folder or music folder get applied. Any help appreciated. Is vista 64 not supported??? TIA

Vista's file protection can sometimes get in the way. Try deleting the 'C:\Users\<your account>\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Devnz' directory.

Thanks Sub, I actually found that you posted that in another forum. So I implemented that solution and it fixed my issues with not being able to use pvrx2 on my computer. However, shortly after, Vista decided it didn't know about my Hauppauge 1600 card and would not accept the Hauppauge driver to reinstall. So I'm currently re-installing Vista and we'll see how it goes... I'll post back any results

So, After a full reinstall, running all windows updates prior to installing gbpvr, I have gbpvr working on the worksation...
The MediaMVP is still having issues however. The issue I'm having is that I can go to live tv or go to the guide and select play, and I get a picture, but the irblaster isn't sending out a channel change. When I do use my remote to change the channel, the screen pauses for a second, which I'm used to seeing, and it displays along the bottom of the screen the new channel programming. But the channel never changes. Again, the irblaster works great using PVRx2. Any ideas???

Another issue relating to the channel changing issue.
There are times when I try changing the channel via. the MVP. And the tv screen goes completely blank. Exit doesn't bring me back to the main menu. I have to power off/on the MVP to get the interface back.

Looks like I'm having similar issues as this post...

At my computer, I can schedule a recording, let the recording run, and then view it. The channel never changes to the correct station for recording. How do I adjust what user is sending the signal to the irblaster? TIA
