I'm running windows vista ultimate. I finished the installation of windows media center a few nights ago and now all of the programs that gbpvr records have huge file sizes and nothing on my computer can play them. Even if I record a few minutes it's a hundreds of megs and unreadable. The other mpegs recorded earlier are just fine and can be read and displayed by windows. I can still watch live tv without a problem... only the recorded programs in gbpvr aren't working.

I'm guessing it's done something to the codecs.. but I have no idea where to begin to solve this problem.

Any ideas?

What device are you using?

A common cause of this is the user setting up capture source for a PVR150/500 configured as a PVR250/350.

Or if you're using a digital capture device, you might have the multiplexer set to 'full ts' (set it to 'TS Mux' instead)

I'm using a 350. I have it setup as "Direct Recorder Plugin" with "Analog Recording Plugin" as the Recording Source.

It was set to TX Mux. I just tried changing it to the Microsoft DVR, but that didn't work either. Changed back to TX Mux, tried again, no luck. I haven't changed anything in the GBPVR configuration in the last few weeks... it only stopped working when I installed the Media center.

Now, when I open the Mux Checker program, I get this:
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.

GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have WinXP SP1 or higher, which has a built-in DVR-MS mux filter.
Could it have removed them? (even though they show up in the list?)

You dont need a mux with an analog card.

Do a recording then zip and attach the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Also run FilterCheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, and attach the filtercheck.log.
