Avermedia P779 PCIe tuner card

Hello,

How can I select my channels from my analog cable tv.
I have an Avermedia M779 PCIe DVB-T tuner card.
I only can see it when I choose the digital option in config. But since I don't have digital tv no channels vissible ofcourse, I want to select the analog tv channels from my cable.

I use the same card with WMC where it is possible to see all the channels on the cable.

btw how do I close a thread here?

If your card is listed in digital, but not analog, it usually means it does not have a hardware mpg encoder. For analog, GBPVR only supports cards with onboard hardware mpg encoders. There is a hack to use a software mpg encoder that sometimes works, but I've never tried it. Unless you use that hack, or your card supports hardware mpg encoding, you can't use GBPVR with analog signals.

I've never used it, and I've seen some posts that read "I'm not sure if the Software Recorder is still supported, but you can try it," nonetheless, if you want to try it out, try reading this thread, or just search for "Software Recorder."

You will have to use the Software Recorder since this card doesn't have a HW-encoder, also you have to add an entry for the card in gbpvr's Direct.ini. Look at how the other cards are defined and you'll figure it out ( it's been a long time since I did it, so I can't remember the details). Perhaps someone else can help you out.

Where can I find this configuration window?

In Config.exe under "Capture Sources", select the capture source you have added and click "Edit", Recording Source should be set to "Software Recorder" and then you can click on the "Settings" button and bring up the configuration window.
