I'm running a similar setup- Win7 RC 64-bit on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR MB with HVR-1600. Windows Media Center and WinTV both work fine, but I don't have sound with PVRX2. Any ideas?
I don't know if this is related, but I found that .ts recordings from GBPVR had no sound under Win7 because Win7 always used its own Media Foundation Microsoft Splitter in preference to Directshow splitters, and the Media Foundation Microsoft Splitter does not recognise the audio streams within the .ts files.
I resolved the issue by disabling the Media Foundation Directshow Wrapper, and then the standard Directshow splitter was used, and I had sound again. Well after going back to WinXP SP3, I found my HVR-1800 would still not have audio. Hauppauge is replacing it with a new one.

Ok, so I was running gbpvr just fine in vista 64. I installed windows 7 and after much pain remembering how to scan for and add channels I finally got it to show me something when I clicked live tv. Unfortunately it didnt have any sound... after playing around with it for about a week, installing the k-lite codec pack basic and the k-lite codec 64 bit pack fixed my problems.
Thank you sub, super AWESOME work. |
