Here's my area's forecast.

It is likely to be 20deg C but you don;t get snow until a) it's winter and b) the temp drops to close to 0 deg C.

I was wondering whether 20deg C was being interpreted by the plugin as 20F and so displaying the snow icon?

I got an error same as pconstanza - logs included. Also, when firing up Config, the Plugin's box was completely blank - although they all seem still to be installed.

More testing feedback... Would be nice to set a default profile at startup so it always starts with a particular location (city), then cycle through the others. For now to deault to the one I want, I make it my last entered profile, it opens to the last one I made.

Also "Weather Alert" is active in my area at the time of this writing, and the Alert Button did not appear, it did for another though.

VERY NICE WORK ON THE PLUGIN!!! I think I have to unsubscribe to this thread!! My email is notifying me every few minutes of a new post!!! Smile

[QUOTE=gEd;346317I was wondering whether 20deg C was being interpreted by the plugin as 20F and so displaying the snow icon?[/QUOTE]I don't think the plug-in is coming up with the snow icon. The icon indicates a forecast; nothing to do with the temperature.

I had a situation this Summer where the weather was in the 80s and it had a Snow icon. I think the weather service screws up every so often and there is nothing the plug-in can do about it.

Tried it on another W7 system with the exact same error. This time, when the install progress bar shows completed, the text shows 'cleaning up install'. 'Next' is greyed out. I started config anyway and do see the plugins showing with Weather2 listed but clicking on the settings button only brings up a blank box.
So, that's 2 no's for me.

I sorta got it installed by only by leaving the install incomplete. I'm able to do things in config but what should takes seconds, takes minutes. Just typing the city can take 3 minutes.
After all is said and done, using Weather2 in pvrx2 just crashes it.
Logs included.

I like it & it actually has a forecast for little old us (Masterton) way out in the hicks of NZ Smile

Unfortunately I have a problem, it keeps popping up a message about Weather2XmlSerializers.dll missing, if I click OK about six times it seems to then work fine, but if I don't click multiple OK's GB doesn't open at all. Logs attached.

It also doesn't show on the main menu on my NMT Sad

I deleted all the tasks associated with GBPVR via the Task Manager and was able to do the install. I think your Install program needs to stop the GBPVR proicesses during its installation.
I will update the installer to do this.

I didn't notice it because my development machine doesn't have the recording service running... :o

LewE Wrote:After I installed Weather2 and configured it in CONFIG, there was a Weather2 subdirectory under the Community-SD directory but no files in it. I copied the files from the corresponding directory for the Blue skin into the Community-SD Weather2 directory and it runs OK. Either your Install program or the settings logic for Weather2 in CONFIG knew enough to create the skin directory but just didn't populate it.

I'm just beginning to play with it but like what I see so far.
Hmmm, I don't know how the CS skin works, so I'm not sure how that is getting there. But I only install a skin file for blue. If I need to populate other skin folders, I didn't pick that up via the wiki.
