I have now my PCH up and running most problems I had with firewall (maybe still some problems here) and upgrading GBPVR. I unistalled GBPVR and run the installer in dummys guide to MVPMC and then it went very well.

First a question what is the difference when choosing GBPVR, GB-PVR via the Network Browser, GBPVR USB ?
is it faster performance in choosing any of them?


I have a general question regarding skipping forward/reverse and and fast reverse which do not seem to function - FF works.

same problem from PCH as from GBPVR - when trying to skip I get a PCH message ! and nothing happens. Any idea?

Is it possible to autstart PCH in GBPVR mode rather than chossing via the share?

No difference in performance. I prefer running from a share, it's easier to update. The Network Share method was for testing a share and for casual use by someone who might want to use GBPVR without a lot of configuration. The USB was originally a user submission, that included as a model, but I recently fixed it up as a further test that should provide a connection if the share and name configuration is too much of a challenge or if you didn't want to run a share.

Skipping nativelly on the PCH is with the centre arrow keys, in 30 second increments, if want to go forward or back 180 seconds hit the arrow key 3 times. You can also navigate by percentage ie the remote key 1 takes you to 10% of the file. There is also a time seek key to a specific time and in mkv and dvd's you can skip by chapter.

I am in the minority and like the versatility of the PCH options more than GBPVR's except it is not accurate.

Yes and no, search for the index.htm threads. I find it is too slow to use but many people like it.
