I have a functional GBPVR Server configured with two Hauppauge HVR-1600 cards configured to receive QAM channels from Comcast Cable. In that server I've successfully mapped about 80 channels on both cards.
I'm now attempting to configure a different PC to receive QAM from Comcast using a USB Hauppauge HVR-950q. (no spare PCI slot.) Channel scans fail on this PC. (note - survival guide files are installed) When the frequency displayed during the scan reaches 46/47 the config.exe program hangs. Task Manager reports that config.exe is not responding. Terminating config.exe will remove the window, but the program will not terminate. No data is recorded in the scan-1.cache file. A user log-off is needed to terminate the program.
Please advise on how I should proceed. Are there issues with this video converter?
Thank you
