DVB-T Subtitles not showing

I have your sample Reddwarf, my vlc example was for DVB subtitles not teletext. ProjectX can extract subtitle files from it.

I'v downloaded the newest version of ProjectX, but I can't find any option to extract subtitles, only demux'ing.

Extracting subtitles is demuxing.

Well yes, but it doesn't give a clue on how to demux the stream that containg the subpictures. Any hints?

I prefer users learn by doing but hopefully you will help some others. Here's a really quick mini guide

1. Load the file
2. Highlight the file in the list box to see what the subtitles are.
3. Right click the file and select Collection Properties
4. On the subtitle tab select the teletext page to decode and export as SRT I assume you want 299.
5. Close the Collection Properties window
6. Select FilterControl on the bottom tab
7. Since you only want to demux teletext untick the other choices.
8. Select Prepare

ProjectX is ini file driven so you could need multiple ini files for different task, one for srt teletext and one for sub/idx graphic subs (I don't know if GBPVR supports it). You can create the template ini's in the Presetting option once you know what you are doing. I have attached the ini that does what I talk about above (please do it yourself though) and this is the command line

java -jar projectX.jar -ini Reddwarf.ini filename.ts -demux

BTW: What version of ProjectX are you using?

Never mind, I found the tabs after a lot of searching, they were very well hidden and not a bit like in the older version that I had some experience with. I was able to rip the subpictures of a HD-recording and read it with SUPRead. But here is where it gets fuzzy. When gbpvr displays the subtitles ther looks just fine (Subtitle-example.jpg)

But when read and dumped as an image sequence all the letters has been super-bold and is connected is one big lump so it is impossible to OCR' them (Subpict-example.jpg).

Where is the process is the letters ruined, any ideas anyone?

Why do you want to OCR them if GBPVR plays them?

Some movies or documentarys can be interesting to store "for future generations", in .mkv format and DivX-codec and then it is very convinient to have the subtitles as .srt.
