I've been using MceEpg2XmlTv. It has worked fine for a couple years. I am a FIOS customer and suddenly find all of my channels are listed in the 3000 range. Unfortunately, whenever I try to record anything i record a bunch of FIOS user help information. I tried switching to MCE2XML with no luck. I' have no idea what is wrong. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

I'm not sure how to describe this better but I'm sure I need to try. The channel numbers in the xml file are all higher than they should be. At the same time, the listing numbers which should be coming up as the channel numbers are coming up as part of the name field. I assume Fios made a change in how they report the data and was hoping somebody else has run across the same issue but had an answer.

I think I've figured out the problem. I guess I need to delete my previous channel lineup. Is there anyway to delete the channels without deleting the GBPVR.db3 file?

There is a delete button in the capture source channel list. If you delete the channel from all the capture sources that reference it, then it'll be deleted from the database.

Thank you sub. I located a thread where I believe Whurlston suggested to somebody to delete their capture devices. In hindsight, the person was having trouble deleting channels but I'm not operating on full nights rest these days and it wasn't too hard to set up the capture devices.

I do wonder if there is a way to deselect channels in mass? There doesn't seem to be a way to use the Shift key or scroll and deselect channels or am I missing that too? Thanks again.

From memory you can select multiple channels by holding down control and clicking each channel in the left margin.

I think you will find that channels that are referenced in your saved recordings (i.e. the channel on which the recording was made from originally) can not be deleted (unless you go into the GBPVR data base and manually change their channel OID to be that of a current channel in your lineup). This is why when you go to the Channels tab in CONFIG and click on Remove Unreferenced Channels it doesn't remove all of the ones you would expect.

If you aren't totally comfortable with manipulating SQLite3 databases, you can use FireFox's SQLite Manager addon tool to browse the data base and edit the values in the database. Be sure to save a copy of the data base before you make any changes in case you make a mistake.

If I remember correctly, you can easily toggle the channel selected state by positioning at the first channel to change and then just hold down the space bar. I think this toggled the state of each channel as you spaced past it.

I could be wrong and have gotten this confused with how the TV Listings plugin works.

Thanks sub. I guess I hadn't considered trying in the margin. The shift key also works fine for selecting multiples. Thanks for the suggestions also LewE. Appreciate it.
