sorry if it seems like a newbie question, but i found nothing in the wiki that anwsered that, or other posts.

basicaly, i configure my s-video and composite inputs under the capture sources tab, but unless i assign them a "channel" under edit recording source, they don't show up at all under the channels tab, which make me unable to tune to them using live tv.. So i assign channel 1 and give it a number and name (03, composite) under the channels tab, and i get a near-still of my current channel on the tv-tuner when i try to "tune" to that channel.

How do i solve this, what am i doing wrong?

I'm using an ati tv wonder elite, on windows xp sp2, on svideo and composite i have my ps2 plugged (universal cable) and in the tuner, i have my digital cable box, which i tune using its own remote, since i have nothing in the likes of the ir blaster.

I have what I think is a similar issue to Stephanepare. I too am running an ATI Theater 550Pro chip - Sapphire Theatrix. I have configured multiple capture sources, one for the internal analog tuner and one for an external S-video input for my digital cable box.

How do I select which of the capture sources to use for input?

You dont get to choose directly. If you try to view a channel thats only associated with the s-video capture source, then it'll use that capture source.

Do you guys have your svideo/composite inputs working in any other app? ...and does it work in GB-PVR after running this other app?

Thanks for your help. That seems to work.

As regards to your inquiry regarding ohther apps, I have just installed GB-PVR and have not yet explored other apps, will post when I have feedback from other apps.
