Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object when using the guide

I am using the standard Skin (Blue) with GB-PVR but this seems to occur with any skin

I am viewing the TV guide and have the cursor set on the first channel in the guide. If I move the cursor up I would have expected the channel guide to scroll to the last channel. But instead I get the error Object reference etc.

Anybody encountered this or have any idea what it could be?

Any ideas on this? I might try re-installing since I did have some aborted issues with different skins that didn't work, includindg Guide2j

hmm... i'm just guessing, but is it possible that you have chosen the same channel-number (tab-page 'channels' in config) for two or more channels?

i did this once accidentally and got an error in tv guide (i'm not sure if it was the same)...

My guess is that the xml file you are using for the guide is corrupted. If you are using xmltv, try to update it manually and reload your guide.

Checked the channels - no duplicates. Also I update the xml file each night and GBPVR give no error messages when it updates it. So still not sure what the problem is

Does the TV app work at all? I am having the same error message when I try to record or view live tv. After reading these messages I went and to tried to start the TV using other software and found that my tv card is not working at all. After examining the device managed I found a conflict that kept my pvr-150 from starting. If you don't have tv at all, you might have a driver/hardware issue with your tv card.

If you mean the TV app then, yes usually I can watch live TV. Occasionally it will freeze and/or no picture comes up but I am not so bothered about since all I want to do is to be able to view the guide, choose the program to watch and record it. I never use gbpvr to watch the recorded shows or live TV. I invariably edit the mpeg2 files created by gbpvr, remove the ads and burn to DVD to watch elsewhere

I also get this error when I am trying to watch live TV. However, this happens when I choose Live TV, the TV guide itself seems to be working fine.
