Help wanted with svideo capture from HVR-2200

2) Run config.exe and select "digital recording". Map all the channels config can find. For some reason it can only detect digital channels from station "channel 7". There are a total of 6 stations detectable in Perth, most having least 4 digital channels.

Australia is one of two countries that use offset scanning, and not all devices do it automatically, so you may need to enable the setting to explicitly scan the 166KHz offset.

4) Run config.exe again. Select "Analogue Recording" and configure for Australia. I don't get any offer to check for analogue channels.
5) Start PVRX2.exe to see if I can view anything but I can't

It doesnt scan for analog channels. It gets them from the list of channels imported from your xmltv EPG file, or use the 'Add' button to manually add them.

1) I selected the "explicitly scan DVB-Toffsets" option and I could pick up 2 extra strations. There are 2 commercial stations that do not show up though but that's OK.

2) I can manually enter an analogue station channel and get that. But I can't find any way to receive the SVideo signal which is what I want to do.

In the config screens for the analogue tuner there should be an item called source. Change the source in the drop-down menu to S-Video External Tuner and you should be all set.
