Bob,

If you read my post, the config (if it is config.xml you are referring to) IS the problem. I went through more or less the same process, even installed the whole OS on a fresh HDD to no avail - until I tried an installation where I only saved the .mdb

Try it - you might be surprised. It's fairly quickly done. Rename the gbpvr-program directory, do an installation into the default dirs (i.e. not on top of your renamed dir) and copy the mdb to your new installation.

Then go in to the config application, set the servers autostart=1, save and restart the machine.

Of course go into the services and set Hauppauge apps. to manual start.

Good luck,

Niels

Thanks, when i said saved the log and config files, I ment I saved these only on that last install , and on another hd on my network, on the previous deletions I did every thing short of scrubbing the registry.

When you said you "even installed the whole OS on a fresh HDD to no avail - until I tried an installation where I only saved the .mdb" - did you mean you saved - and then reinstall the config.xml after reinstalling the OS, and did you ever try a completly clean install on a clean OS? I don't want to reinstall XP but I think a plugin has done some serious damage to the registry. Also it would be nice to have a complete list of default settings for gbpvr instead of having to hunt them from multiple locations.

Thanks

Also, I still have the the log and config files- If anyone would like to look at them and try to figger them out , I can email them Big Grin
