Thought I would just say that this version of NextPVR has worked brilliantly on my system, thank you. Since applying it on the 30th I've not had to restart the service, or reboot the server/pch once, both of which are left on 24x7 (before it was once every 48hrs'ish). The WAG factor has reached a new high.

I've noticed about 3 occasions over the past week where liveTV has 'hung', which normally would require a service or server restart to fix, but now I just wait a few seconds and it drops back to the guide. I've then been able to start watching the programme again.

Will whatever change you made here be incorporated into future versions of this file?

My thinking is that I'll stop applying future updates as this setup is so stable, but this is offset by the fear of missing feature enhancements (life is tough )

Thanks ReggiePerrin. It's a good thing you haven't kept up there is a patch that will break this again.

The "hung" state is a long time NPVR issues, and it is just the server not sending screen updates for up to a minute after video plays. If it seems like it is waiting too long I hit the red key on the remote.

Hopefully sub will be able to look into this for the next release.

No problem martin, but my reaction to your post was the same as zaldwaik's.

This is a dilemma; I've only really been been able to appreciate the capabilities of NPVR since it became stable. By this I mean being able to switch freely between movies, music, live TV, recorded TV without 'fear' of breaking it... Previously I've been treating it with kid gloves.

Is there a way, or mechanism that patches can be evaluated by PCH-NPVR users prior to release to ensure they don't regress stability?

I do update NMTInstall2 with patches that I think are best for mvpmcx2 users and won't add a patch that is a regression, unless of course the version changes and I think the version is stable enough and then I start fresh.

Sorry I am so vague, I can't speak for sub on what changes or priorities he wants to make for the next version.
