venger Wrote:eerrrm.. so where is it? registry ? the mdb file?
I would like to bypass the config.exe and tweak this value to see if i can fix my tv guide offset problem
Its in the MDB file. Changing it manually isnt going to achieve anything.
Its just a number of minutes which is added to the start/end time when the shows are imported in the database the first time. Changing this number wont affect any shows already imported.
... *sigh*... ... i've repeatedly deleted the *.mdb *.ldb files prior to re-configuring and re-'update EPG' using various values : +8:00, -8:00 , +10:00, 0:00
But none of the above values shifts my view of the TV guide?!
Sub, do you have any other suggestions?
Its getting to the point that I think I might have to give up trying out gbpvr .. and that's sad since I really would like to roadtest it... and just can't seem to get started....
..wooohoooo.. i finally managed to bash thru the problem
.. for the benefit of other starters, the facts are:
(1) if you have hassles with timezone offset, forget about tweaking it in gbpvr, it just doesn't seem to have any effect (see previous posts ) - I wonder if there might be an evil bug in the 0.92.8 version)
(2) instead, tweak the settings in your EPG grabbing utility (mine is txvb).
..and before you can say 'evilbug', you have yourself a working xmltv-based TV Guide...
well.. finally.. I can actually start testing GBPVR now...
many thanks to everyone who took the trouble to help me...
