Becouse this is not a decoder issue - i suspect network problem.
And installing another decoder is exactly the messing Smile

If he can access the file it is not a network problem, either splitter or decoder problem.

Slow transmition speed? We don't know if this is a wired share, or a wireless one. Even if it's a wired connection, there's always the possibility of something causing a slow transmition speed.
I haven't had any problems with the decoders mentioned, so I don't see the need to drop more codecs in the mix, without first confirming that the network share is not the real bottleneck.

definately not a network issue.
The line is 1GBit & the NAS = 1Gbit aswell on cisco switch. I find no errors on switch port and the performance is great. I play blueray & dvd5/9 from same location without an issue.

Chipset = Intel 5 series/3400 series
Video = Intel HD
Lan = Realtek

This is a good starting point.

No problems here, more then enough.

The same here. The Intel HD Graphics is a great one, even from clarkdale.

I dislike realtek LAN Adapters. You could check in the networksettings if something like "green ethernet" or other powersaverstuff is activated. Those features aren't bugfree with realtek adapters. You have to disable this nonsense after every driverupdate from realtek.
But i am not sure, that this could fix your DivX/Xvid related problems.
Could you please post one or two Mediainfo GUI / GSpot screens of your related videos? Perhaps we overlooked something important in your files and didn't respect something.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

So can you just try to copy one movie to local disc and play it?
Did you tryed Graphstudio?
Hope it is really divx/xvid not h.264 in AVI Smile

Hi guys
(sorry, was away a project, without my media player)
First, thanks for all your searches, replies & suggestions!
The problem is resolved: hint of shiningdragon did the trick. The f*cking "green ethernet" was enabled. I disabled the shit and as a result my DIVX/XVID worked perfect. Strange it started occuring so "suddenly". Actually, after the latest 2.2.6 patches the problems started.
Thanks guys !
