After discovering how lousy ATI's software package was, I finally found GB-PVR. However, I am having a problem with the setup. I set the recording source as "Direct Recording Plugin" and selected "ATI TV Wonder Elite" as the capture card type. I then set the EPG source as "Zap2it" and created an account using the link. However, when I click on "update EPG," I receive the error "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again" immediately after it starts the update process.

Any suggestions would be helpful, as I refuse to go back to the ATI software, or pay $70 for another program.

Thanks,
John

I'm having the same problem.

Maybe something popped up this weekend that will have to get ironed out.

I'm using Hauppage PVR350

There is two common causes for this error:

1) You have an account with http://www.zap2it.com and not labs.zap2it.com. The logins are different, and it needs a labs.zap2it.com login.

2) Firewall software is getting in the way.

Thanks for the response.

I had already addressed the first problem before I posted.

As for the second, I had no firewall active on the computer - but . . .

I opened the default port on my router, closed GBPVR and opened it again. The update worked.

However, I closed the port and the update still seemed to work.

Not sure however cause when I woke up this morning it seems as though the auto update froze up the machine at 2:59am.

Does that default port (4676 or something like that) definitively have to be open for the update to work?

From memory, zap2it just uses port 80.
