file types of recorded TV

Hi, I've been using GB-PVR and found it really good but it saves the recoded TV videos as TS files. Can a setting be changed for it to save these files as avi or mpeg2? Thanks

The file container you end up with depends on the BDA multiplexer you're using. The TS Mux produces .ts files. The DVR-MS mux produces .dvr-ms files. The Cyberlink mux produces .mpg files. You cant produce .avi files.

Thanks Administrator. I have only TS mux, full TS and Microsoft DVR-ms in the drop down list. How do I get/install these other multiplexer files. Thanks.

Sorry, I dont know. It's been years since I used the cyberlink mux.

From memory, it came with the software with one of my Twinhan tuner cards. I think it also came with Cyberlink PowerCinema.

I'm pretty sure if you google "where to download cyberlink mux" you'll find some pointers.
