Cheers that got live TV !!! thx now on to next step getting remote to control computer (Nxpvr) with IR While I am doing that I have a Question about homerun hd dual will it handle my analog signals coming out of my cable so I will be able to watch and record without a cable box, all information says digital and nothing about analog signals and over the air is digital
Next prob : I edited irremote ini and it does not controle next pvr but it will turn on wintv and WMc , What I did was add the code to the very bottom of original ir remote file . I also added the grn power line in place of the grn power that was in the new text THX again
I'm not a RTM type person normally.... but have you read the getting started sticky thread at the top of this forum or/& had a look at the wiki at all?? Most of the questions you have asked recently are covered in either or both of those places.
Yes I have been living in the wiki But apparently I am missing something I read how to edit the irremote and thought I did it correctly but apparently I missed something . My apology for the stupidity on my end
I can't be a great deal of help with this, I don't use it personally as I use extenders...., but I do know that following the instructions on the wiki does work & I do seem to remember from helping another user get it up & running that you have to stop & start the irremote service (or re-boot the computer) to get changes to the irremote.ini recognised.
I think I got it figured out I was placing the first set of instructions in the wrong place ! It helps when you can read all of the irremote file , on the comp that has the nextpvr on it the text does not show very good so I copied it to a flash drive and read the file on a different monitor (computer ) I didnt see (applications) near the top I will try the new irremote file tomorrow .
Ok I got most of the remote functions to work (except GRN pwr button ) but that can wait, I bet I missed commenting out win tv somewhere. The problem I have now is getting the 3rd video usb tunner to work its a Hauppaguage usb 955Q It shows in list of devices and I set it up just like I did the other card Hauppaguage 2250 but when I try to record 3 Tv shows I can only get 2 to record . I also tried to get it to work with the Gbpvr and it wont,it will let me setup 3 programs but only 2 will record. I guess I am not suppose to do this ! Any help or Ideas on what I am missing is greatly appreciated I know I have been such a pain but I am trying THX again
