Remote not working after upgrade

After upgrading from 9211 to 9310 my remote doesn't work when the GB-PVR window looses focus. It worked before and I don't see what the problem is.
Is this 'Murphy in da house' or are there others who are experiencing the same ?

I'm using a Hauppage PVR-350 with a grey, 45 button, remote.
In GB-PVR Configuration I use Remote Control Type: Default (Hauppage) and I clicked "Fix Hauppage Remote settings (45 button remote)". Restarted IR.exe and even rebooted.
Also:
Copied back my original IrRemote.ini, restart IR.exe and rebooted.
Non of the above had any effect.

hmm... somwhere in the config app (i think on the misc tab) there's a checkbox called 'use direct access to hauppauge remote'.
AFAK you have to check it to make the remote working when gbpvr does not have focus.

Unfortunately that mechanism is not compatible withe 45 button remote, so shouldnt be done in this case.

GB-PVR has only ever been able to work with the 45 button remote when GB-PVR has focus...unless you'd made a modification to irremote.ini as described by a few others here. If you had made this change, clicking the "Fix Hauppage Remote settings" button would have overwritten these back to the default (which require app focus).

I think that the braincells containing that information where fried while watching to many commercials (before I used GB-PVR)
Switched off direct access to hauppauge remote and restored my original IrRemote.ini and it is working again....
