that is what it already receives but then your programing over rides it and stops the video (i think)
I looked at what you said earlier but i wasnt 100% sure what to change so i chickened out

I was hoping to just send F1 because its just one button press to bring up tvguide

Yes the context menu is overwritten because of the limited remotes that don't have a stop button that is the code I was disabling for you. If you have telnet do this

nano /storage/.kodi/addons/script.xbmc.x-newa/resources/src/nextpvr/emulate.py

Hit ctrl- (that is minus sign)
Type 366 and hit enter
in front of xbmc type #
go down one line
Change True to False
Hit ctrl-o and hit enter
Hit ctrl-x

Well a step closer it stops the video once context menu comes up
Will try some more later out of time now.

You need to stop x-newa to reload it.

yeah i restarted the rpi after each change
it still stops the video when the context menu comes up

will keep trying to get f1 to work

Check in nano that your changes were saved Maybe you modified the wrong IP. If everything is ok go to the following line and remove the # in front of the line with video pass and send me a link to your logs when you hit the context menu key.

I had not commented it out
so i commented out all 3 lines now it works yay
didnt work when i only commented out the xbmc line

well the context menu comes up but when i select tvguide it doesnt overlay bugger spoke to soon
