Does the timeline show correctly you're up past that 3 hours or so?

yea, and skipping is ok, just no resume point stored..
and since no in-progress, have to keep stopping and resuming manually..that works fine tho..

Remind me exactly what happens when you try to play in-progress recordings? Is it the same for recordings from HDHR Prime and HDPVR?

well, you can't skip past 'live' point where you came in...
say a recording is 30 mins in, you start playing, when you get to 30 mins in, skips won't go past same place,[30 mins in] and timeline thiinks you're skipping is working, incrementing timeline and storing that [in]correct position in resume point..[where you would be if those bad skips had worked]
same for hdpvr and prime and client, mpeg2 or h264..

I get the exact same symptoms on both SD and HD recordings from UK Freeview using a Hauppauge Quad HD PCIe tuner. I currently watch in-progress recordings by stopping playback a few minutes before the 'live' point ... I then resume and get a new 'live' point. All recordings are fine when finished and no longer in-progress ... https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...-recording

here's something odd, if you start playing an in-progress show soon after it starts and pause it and wait a bit, the in-progress works! but if you exit and start play again, it doesn't..
mpeg2 channel, will check h264..same..
after about 5 mins or less, if you restart playback, it won't work..
but sometimes i can get it to work if i play from beginning, and just skip straight to near live with single skip..
like the mem is getting corrupted..or it can't handle the numbers..this is 32bit machine..
i wonder how many others are on 32 bit with this prob?

Ok, I'll check that now - in my quick tests, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue, but maybe I was striking what you say here.

pBS, is this from a client PC, or directly on the machine with NextPVR?

I did find one thing that might explain it. Can you see if this patch helps?

it's direct on server pc..i do most of my watching there...client only to make sure it works, i use that on occasion also..

so far on client, only difference looks to be all mpeg2 look jerky, recordings and live and in-progress..
