i got another when they were showing a tweet on a browser fullscreen..so mostly really high uniformity scenes..[large solid color blocks]

Still having problems starting HDPVR livetv...still have to skip back to start play.. it normally plays a sec then freezes till skip back.
and still having hard time starting most mpeg2 channels.

Has this issue been resolved?

You don't happen to have a recording that gives this error?

sub,

I haven't seen the "PES too large" message, but I am seeing severe choppiness ( ~ 1-2 seconds of play, followed by a fraction of a second pause) - I was somehow hoping that pBS's issue above was relating to what I am seeing. My issue seems to be a buffering issue similar to what is being reported by pBS.

I don't have choppiness with SD or H.264 channels, just HD-mpeg. I can provide a sample if you are still interested?

Is this one a client machine, or directly on the NextPVR machine?

If you can supply a few minute long MPEG2 HD sample recording, I'll try it out here.

with the latest updates files are playing ok, even in-progress... it's only livetv [mpeg2-hd] that is choppy on client..
http://pbshouston.mooo.com/downloads/Foo...8301930.ts
is a couple of minutes of a typical recording file...tho this file plays fine, playing livetv on same channel is choppy..

i'm convinced it's a buffering issue, mpeg2 1280 plays for a few secs then same thing..1080i always choppy..

This one increases the maximum PES size, and double the buffer size for client/server streaming.

I'm mainly interested in hearing whether this makes any difference to choppiness when just left playing (not skipping around).
