Mmm, you sure it's installed on the client? Looks like it's still using the original buffer size.

Unfortunately I'm on my way to the airport now, about to jump onto a plane, so you might need to go back to the older one for now.

yep, double checked its the one with time 10:06am..
i made another client.txt after reboot just in case something was in mem..

the funny thing is, old reader works just fine in all these situations on client...Big Grin
[even better than on server..lol]
tho still have occasional lockups like a mem leak or something with old reader..same as on server..

still no resume after exactly 3 hours in..maybe make it 4hrs at least so most sports can be resumed?
[tons of sporting events go past 3 hrs, some go past 4]
it can be tricky to find your last watched point on such a long recording manually.

I've just got back after 10 days travelling. If you can bump the thread tomorrow, I'll take another look at this for you.

I'm going to post this just to bump this back to the top. I've had multiple problems with 4.0.4, to the extent I've finally removed it and gone back to the last 3 version. Videos played just fine, but .ts files have been an absolute disaster. ln attempting to play them on the client there were constant 'hangs' and I'd have to shut down NPVR and start again. This was especially bothersome on programs over two hours. Skipping was also a disaster and comskip simply couldn't skip. I tried one of the patches and it did nothing and I unchecked the box in 'decoders' to go back to the MS .ts but that didn't help so I finally just bailed out and went back to a version that works. Hope you find a solution to this.

That 'use legacy reader and demux' setting should take you back to exactly where things were in 3.9.x, since components have been unchanged in 4.0.4.

With it unticked, using the new components, are the problems playback in client/server setup, or also on a single machine setup?
