4.0.4 Skips Hang Playback

Can you try copying one of these MPEG2-HD recording files to the machine, and use the right-click->Open File option to play it, to confirm it plays smoothly locally? (before I starts messing around with buffer sizes - incase it's not related to client/server)

yep...plays fine from local client drive, and directly from server's livetv share over wireless network... Smile

[i used an actual livetv buffer file and a mpeg2 recording as well, same]
i do notice it takes about 5-9 secs for video to start tho..audio comes on much sooner

Is it the same for playing live tv and recordings from the server? Probably best for us to focus on recordings for any testing, since there is less things to investigate.

This one bumps up a buffer size.

recordings play fine, whether from server or local...it's only livetv and in-progress mpeg2hd showing any problems..

yay! that one worked.. Big Grin

video comes up almost immediately too.. Smile

seems to also have fixed startup problems for mpeg2 channels from server as well! Big Grin

didn't help the hdpvr startup problem tho... Sad

funny thing is, hdpvr starts fine from client, tho i do see a glitch at beginning half second..

i don't have anything recording for next 5 hrs or so, so would be a good time to do remote if you're available.

HDPVR still not starting live tv reliably?

I'm out for the next couple of hours, but could look after that.
