4.0.4 Skips Hang Playback

hmmm,getting blockiness back with new reader on server..kinda like it was before once that you fixed..
seems to happen with every scene change.
same recording viewed with another player looks fine and block free..

shows same on both server and client..sorry i missed that but it comes n goes..
both recordings and livetv..

sub, latest patch seems to have helped live TV from hdpvr2 at least. It starts up fine, skipping is still problematic though as is the timeline. But at least I can watch HD again

Hmm, I'm not seeing any problems playing this in NextPVR. No pixilation or blockiness. What decoder are you using?

microsoft decoder..same w cyberlink pdvd decoder..
it only happens with that last update for me, the one that fixed client with bigger buffer.
it also shows up in the previous example of decoder errors http://pbshouston.mooo.com/downloads/decoderror.ts
it shows everytime i watch livetv mpeg2 channels. major corruption at bottom quarter of screen..

I'm not seeing it with that file either. Both files play cleanly for me LAV Video Decoder and Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder.

hmm,don't know what to tell ya, both play bad here,pretty much everything mpeg2, on both client and server with latest update to reader4..
like video corruptio on bottom quarter of screen, always in same places in videos, happens with recordings or live..just playing, not skipping..
goes away completely with 1 gen earlier reader4...
maybe too much buffer?

I tried the latest reader4 patch here as well. I too was seeing the bottom quarter of the screen pixellation, along with some random pixellation in other parts of the screen. Had to go back to an older version. Using Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder for MPEG2, withOUT the legacy reader option checked.
