I tested out nextpvr on my windows laptop first and it worked great. Tuner got all the channels my vizio tv can get. Then I installed nextpvr on my server laptop (running Manjaro). Got it up and running, but it doesn't seem to detect the tuner. It just shows up as "local recorder (adapter0)" and I can't scan for channels.

You didn't install all the prerequisites listed on the instructions

2020-08-27 11:26:59.210 [ERROR][19] Unexpected error in ScanOptions: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/usr/share/dvb/atsc'.

Which instructions are you referring too? I followed https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59390 and installed all the pre-reqs that were listed there

Thanks for the quick response! Scan tables packed worked. Got the tuner detected and the channels scanned.

But now i'm getting "failed to start requested stream" errors. Although i guess that'll be a new thread if i can't figure out how to fix it

Yes sorry about that those instructions need an update as do the wiki.
