Is there a way of updating the EPG more often?
In Australia, the free to air channels publish a weeks worth of TV Guide data on the over the air guide. When first published it is fairly inaccurate, it can be up to 20 minutes out, but it is updated close to the actual air time to be extremely accurate.

I'd love to be able to update the EPG on a spare tuner shortly before a recording is due.
Alternatively, is it possible to import an EPG from another system like TVHeadend ?

You can specify multiple times in the Settings screen. Just comma separate the times.

In reality though, you probably want to keep any EPG update times away from when the tuner might be used for recording, so best to have it overnight.

That said, I've never seen any broadcaster update the broadcast guide on the day - typically if schedule changes at the last minute, then the schedule is just wrong in the broadcast...so usually updating once a day is fine. Some times listings a week or so out can get updated, but this will happen each night anyway.

Thanks, I have put multiple times in. If the system is recording it uses the first tuner and is only able to update the channels on the frequency being recorded.

"typically if schedule changes at the last minute, then the schedule is just wrong in the broadcast"
This absolutely describes Australian networks. Generally, programs start on the half hour during the evening peak, but all networks run over time so you can't watch something on a competing network in the next time slot.

I'm loving this PVR as it records well, I'll just have to add extra padding to the end of each recording to ensure I get the whole thing.
I previously used TVHeadend for a few months, which was extremely accurate with recording times but inconsistent in actually recording

That is helpful to know but is there any plan to restore v4 functionality provided with the -updateepgonly command line option?  I don't leave my machine running the majority of the time so I used that v4 option in conjunction with the Windows task manager to trigger updates at powerup.  The v5 time based scenario is rather hit or miss for me and as you mentioned kind of a waste to do multiple times.

If there is a new method to achieve this I haven't located it with the 'Search' function here.

ETA: I found the NScripthelper/.NET information and now have it functioning as I had it with v4. Thanks for your time.

Yep, NScriptHelper.exe provides an equivalent.
