Slow performance on Windows 11

Hi,
I've been using NextPVR for years and have been a big fan. I was running the older version 4 on my Windows 10 computer and an old Win7 machine with no problems,
very snappy performance.
Recently my Win7 hardware quit so I replaced it with a new Dell XPS 8950 (Intel i7 proc, 32 GB RAM, Radeon Graphics). It's a very high performance machine; yet when I installed and configured the newest version of NextPVR I'm getting very slow performance and attempting to use the video skip function is so painfully slow that
it's not useful at all. 
Wondering how I can go about fixing this, would using different CODECS make a difference?
I can supply further info but just wondering if you had run across this.

Just checking - are you using nextpvr.exe, or the web app, or some other client?

I am running the latest nextpvr build that was released a few days ago, and was using the nextpvr.exe UI.
After some trial and error I discovered that I had not run the HDHOMERUN setup program so I had not instantiated the ATSC tuners and instead NPVR was using HDHR (they show up without running the HDHOMERUN setup initially).
After switching to the ATSC tuners it's all working well and similar performance to my old setup.
