I expect internet radio m3u files will still need to be imported as IPTV (which works really well BTW). The only weakness is NextPVR hasn't implemented "Listen" at least for radio channels but you can with Kodi assuming they are tagged properly with radio="true"

My memory in this area of the app was a bit hazy. When I looked, I didn't find what I expected. I don't think NextPVR has any support for m3u files in the Music player.

ie, the default extensions supported are:
Code:
<MusicLibrary extensions="^.+\.(mp3|ogg|m3u|wma|aac|wav|m4a|fla|flac)$">

I think "m3u" must have been added by yourself at some stage. Doing this, it relies on Windows to pick directshow component that can play a ".m3u" file. That component is then reading the file, and playing exact item. Unfortunately I don't have control over that 3rd party supporting relative vs full paths.

I could try adding some native support for m3u, but it's a bigger job and bad timing (with next release pretty much done)

NextPVR creates a queue of files in the m3u playlist like playing a folder. I'd like to see a release this weekend though.

Sub,

I agree with Martin in don't delay the release for this.

I don't believe I added the m3u to the extension list and it's there on a clean install (created from the master config file). As Martin says, NPVR is creating a queue of files to play from the playlist and it seems to fail creating that queue when the m3u contains absolute paths.

If I use WMP, it queues files and handles the m3u correctly with absolute paths.

Unless I am going completely potty "m3u" is in the list of MusicLibrary extensions you listed above??

I did eventually find that bit of code for handling m3u files. It was hidden away somewhere I didn't expect in the app.
