I've noticed all the skins I've tried in GBPVR have the same issue with the fonts in the main menu: they suffer from aliasing or jagged edges. Does anybody have a workaround for this? This is the main reason why I haven't moved all my htpc clients to GBPVR yet...my wife and kids are used to the smoother fonts of MCE, but I love the fact that GBPVR is less of a resource hog and doesn't require high-end hardware to run.

If you have any tips I would really appreciate it. I run GBPVR in full screen mode where the jagged fonts are much more noticeable.

Open the skin.xml file inside the MainMenu folder.
See what font is used.
Tahoma is common, but I prefer Arial. Sometimes when a font is bold, it can look more jagged.
General rule of thumb, the fancier the font, the worse it looks in fullscreen.
Second rule of thumb, smaller sized fonts look worse than larger sizes.
You can never have enough tuners!

This is usually down to windows itself. The effect is hardly noticeable unless looking at large characters such as when running gbpvr. To change the windows setting in xp do this:
go to the display properties, choose the appearance tab, click the effects button, then select the second checkbox "use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" and choose the standard method.
