I am having a few issues with my setup that I can't seem to get worked out. Whether it be live TV or playback of a recording, sometimes the video will get really slow for a few seconds but the audio stays fine and then the video will go really fast and catch up. I am using the NVIDIA video decoder and VMR9.

I have a wintv 150. 2.0ghz 512mb ram nvidia 32mb video svideo out to tv.

Also, when playing back a recording, If I am watching a show and decide to forward skip through a commercial, it sometimes jumps maybe 10 mins through the show or to the end or sometimes it does it correctly and skips 20 seconds ahead. Never any consistancy with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I played around with the different decoders and seemed to get the jerky video a little better. I am still having problems with my playback. I recorded a show last night and watched it at lunch today. First 10 mins or so were fine but all the sudden it skips about 5 mins. but I can rewind and watch it but it usually skips again. I dont have comskip or anything like that installed. Any ideas on what could be causing that?

Thanks.

If you're using the nVidia decoders, try turning off the hardware acelleration in the decoders.

I had a problem like that one when I switch decoders...it was like a corrupted timeline or something. I get a thing w/ the Intervideo decoders where if I pause too long and play, it races...hitting play 2x takes it back to the pause point and plays normally.
