I had seen some posts in the past that I don't seem to be able to find right now about issues of running GBPVR on a 2003 server.

Right now, I primarily use an MVP as my access to server where 2K3 runs, and it works well. My only issue now is that when I use the web interface from a remote computer to schedule a show, it doesn't actually record the scheduled show.

There was something about running the web service on 2K3 as a service I recall. .. Anyone have the similar issue?

What is "does not work"?

Which url do you use to access the server?
P4 3GHz 1GB, 250GB, nVidia dualTV, GBPVR 1.3.11, XP

My mind knows what I mean, why don't my fingers? I updated my first post to clarify my question.

I can use the web interface on one machine in my network to schedule a show on the server where GBPVR and the Hauppauge card are, but it actually never does record the show. http://server:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx

No problems with the web interface, just getting it to record is the problem.

I use a very similar setup. I regularly use the webinterface but have no problems whatsoever when scheduling a show. This does not seem to be a specific W2003 problem to me.

Same setup here, no issues at all. I never had any problems with GBPVR under Server 2003 nor had to make any adjustments to make it work. I'm afraid you'll have to start looking for the cause of the issue somewhere else than the OS being 2003...

good luck!

Ok .. thanks for all the replies.. I am up and working and my solution was a reboot and some downtime. For me, not the computer; it's work as it should be Wink

Things just weren't making sense, and it seems a couple of computers swapped DHCP IP addresses on my network on my last outage, and I was trying to get the wrong machine to record :o D'oh.
