can somone explain to me how to get comclean working....
what I would like to do is record a show on my pvr.....comclean it send the file to other computer and convert it to divx from there.... any help.....

I, too, am confused. Have installed comskip and comclean. Where is cuttermaran.exe? Is it a separate download?

Did you read the wiki at
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/Comclean ? Did you read the example postprocessing.bat in the comskip distribution zip file? Cuttermaran is only needed if you want to use comclean2 because you are experiencing problems with the regular comclean Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. If I had only known what wiki was . . . . Seems to be working fine, at least from the command prompt.

When run from the command line, the software works fine. After adjusting the PostProcessing. bat file, when run with GBPVR, the output file has no sound. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

This is the first time I hear about no sound
Anyone else? Which player do you use to play the cleaned file?

Is it only one file without sound or do all have no sound?

All of them. And I noticed that the files that do have sound (those created from WinTV2000) tend to become corrupted and will freeze after viewing for about 10-15 minutes.

Two possible fixes.
1) Use another player (may fail if comclean realy made a mess) Try a player that is not using the windows codecs such as vlc. 2)Use comclean2 YOu have to download and install cuttermaran2 to get comclean2 working.
