I'll find out the version I'm using tonight but you'll have to make sure that GBPVR will be able to run with it.

Cheers

I've settled on the dongle.bin from the 2.4.23038 Hauppauge release which you can get here:

ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/mediamvp

But you'll have to check with sub to make sure that it will work with gbpvr.
GB-PVR 1.0.16 (recording service and database) running on: VIA EPIA 5000 (533Mhz), 512MB, 40GB HD, PVR-150MCE, USB-UIRT controlling Sky Digital box.

GB-PVR 1.3.11 (front-end and client for above) running on: Toshiba NB100 netbook 1.6Ghz, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM.

Front-end viewed on 2xMVPs (using mvpmc dongle).

I have never heard of this? I have a lot of disconnects when I pause videos, after a video, other various times. How do I run this?

Well last night I did a bit of MVP tweaking and got the MVP server to run in "manual mode" as I call it. I.E. running "GBPVR.exe -mvpmode"

I downloaded a bit of software for process manipulation "process.exe" so I could write a batch script to restart the MVP server when I needed to & change the priority.

Changes made:
1) Set "Number of MVP Servers to Start =0" in GBPVR config.
2) Put the "GBPVR MVP Server" shortcut in "Startup" so it starts on login.
3) Created a Restart batch. (Kills GBPVR.exe, START GBPVR.exe -mvpmode)
4) Bound the restart batch to F12 so I can do it quickly.
5) Bound another batch to F11 to change priority of GBPVR to high.

(Anyone know how to get a batch script to pause for a couple of seconds i.e. sleep in UNIX?)

Results so far....
MVP *SEEMS* a bit more stable and responsive .... maybe my imagination.
