Did the fix thru the link Sub posted... visualizations work (sorta) but I think there's more to it than that. Visualizations show in Music Library and when I go back to the main menu, but when I think it tries to start the screen saver, visualizations go away in the main menu, then 10 seconds later the GB screensaver comes on. Sometimes while at the main menu and music is playing, GB will just lock up and I have to end task. I'll try again tonite and check the logs see if something else is erroring out. Without visualizations, everthing else works good. Oh and EPG updates... HOLY CRAP is it fast now!

Torque, if you have any sort of luck, please post them up!

Ok, last attempt at this visualization thing. Is it enabled in the skin? Maybe the skin i'm using doesn't have it??

Just a stab in the dark here but could where I have my wmppia.dll file located(currently have wmppia in the gbpvr directory) be the reason GBPVR wont pick it up when it goes to screen saver?

I dont know. Maybe.

I have left visualizations off, but I believe the wmppia install thing screwed up my machine. Now whenever I hit the back button viewing live tv or a recording, i get an object referenced error. Doesn't matter how I got to live tv or a recording, when i hit back or stop, i get that error. Does it without any extra plugins enabled and with the default blue skin too...
So, for others, I wouldn't try to hack your machine to get visualizations because I believe it's a bandaid for some other software that isn't installed or misconfigured. I can't find that wmppia file on my test box ANYWHERE... but yet GB is stable and the visualizations work flawlessly (even with screensaver). So the location of the wmppia file is obviously not your problem, gomjabar... if i could find the @#$CWA# file on my test box, I'd tell you were to move it. Sorry, I'm just really pist off that my PVR is fubar again (was messed up last time we had a bunch of guests over for a holiday) It was working so great up until now and now I don't have time to fix it.

Code: 12/18/2005 2:45:42 PM.968 VERBOSE [2] getValue() loading new key/value into cache: /settings/VideoPlugin9 Looks like the MyPictures plugin??? It's not even enabled in the GB config screen. BTW, I have a GBPVR.exe-1.log that is 2GB ... what is up with that? I just looked inside of it... a ton of: Code: 12/18/2005 12:21:30 PM.890 ERROR [201] at System.Net.Sockets.Network

Quote:Looks like the MyPictures plugin??? It's not even enabled in the GB config screen.Enabling it on the plugins screen only really indicates whether there is a button on the main menu or not. The plugin is still loaded, and in this case My Pictures is listening to events, then crashing when it gets notified about the end of a file being played.
