Hi, I am new to HTPC''s and gbPVR. I am having trouble setting up this to watch TV. I have a ASUS-A8N-VM CSM MB( so it has the integrated Nvidia 6150 Graphics card) and an ATI HDTV Wonder Capture Card. In the Config menu, under Capture Sources I have setup the source as a BDA Recording Plugin that uses the ATI HDTV Wonder card along with Zap2IT as the EPG source. Once I click update the guide is downloaded and the channels are marked as enabled. After clicking OK, the Recording Service indicates that it is restarting. Then I go into the software and when clicking on "TV Guide" or "Live TV" I get the following message "No channels have been setup. Please run the Configuration Utility and setup the EPG Source....". When returning the the Config for this ALL of the the channels are no longer enabled.

When setting up HDTV in the US, there is a few more manual steps you need to do. See here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

Entering the tuner info does not work. Once I enter the data for a channel then move to a new line the data entered disappears from the previous line.

Ok, I was able to get the guide for my OTA channels. I now have another issue when watching Live TV. I can choose a chnnel from the guide, or just hit Live TV anf the channel will come up fine, however when I try to change channels I am encountering two different problems.

1) I wil hear the audio from the new channel, but the video is frozen on the original channel.

2) Black screen, program seems to be locked up.

What video decoder are you using?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here is the file.

Not sure what decoder I am using. When trying to get this thing working initially I was doing all kinds of crap. I have the ATI decoder installed, I have also installed the Nvidia PureVideo Decoder, and while trying to get a Demuxer installed I installed Cyberlink PowerDVD. I think these are the only things I installed that were related to the install of gbPVR.

Most Fusion users are using the Zulu HDTV decoder that came with their software, but I'm not really sure which to recommend for use with your ATI HTDV Wonder.

All I can really suggest is trying some more video decoders and hopefully one will help.

Is this done by changing the Video Decoder Setting found under Software MPEG-2 Playback in the Playback Tab of the Config Utility? Is it possible to install additional decoders to try, if so where to find them? What are the VMR9 VMR7 and Overlay Manager radio buttons for, which should be selected? I have tried changing these setting but am still getting the same problems.

Yes

All sorts of applications install them (tv software that comes with capture devices, DVD player software, video editing software).
