For some reason when I try to skip forward on my MVP it goes back to the start of the recording. I think it only does it when I play files that are on my file server. (My video and Movie Dirs are on it.) If I use FF/REW it works fine playing these same files. So it is strange that it can't skip forward.

I think on the previous version of GBPVR I had problems playing files recorded in high quality, but they play fine now. just can't use the skip buttons on the MVP Remote

Where did you get the files from from? Are the .MPG files recorded with a Hauppauge card? or maybe downloaded from the net?

If the video file has bad timestamps, you can get this sort of behaviour on the MVP.

It was recorded in GBPVR from my Hauppauge PVR500MCE card.
My main recording directory is on the GBPVR PC, Then when I Archive,
it moves the recording to my file server.

I'll check out some of my other recordings to make shure.

Yep it must be a time code issue. I have a few files that exibit the problem and a few that don't.

Is there a fix to correct the time codes in the recordings and is there something I can do to ensure it does the timecodes correctly in the future?
