I'm now satisfied about my GVPR Box, it's fully working and I don't have any problem with it. I should say that sub is doing a fantastic job. I've tried many other PVR software and GBPVR is the best one so far.

Now I have integrated a LCD on my GBPVR box (a MO serial model). I had this LCD from a long time and do not want to change it. It is working fine using LCDsmarties (i can't make it run using jaLCD) but it's not linked with GBPVR.

I would like to have the LCDplugin equivalent but for LCDsmartie. What would it be difficult to convert it (as the source code is provided) ?

there is a plugin for smartie, but it needs improvement. Have a look at this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=7067

The Smartie plugin that Gomer created is a great start, however is many problems and Gomer does not appear to be around any more.

It would be great if another developer could either continue Gomer's work or start fresh.

I greatly value having the LCDSmartie plugin and would really appreciate someone fully developing this feature.

Maybe LCDHype would be another possibility if someone starts a new plugin. There are already a lot of displays supported and it is possible to support more by writing a driver plugin for LCD-Hype. So it would be at least most flexible. Don't know if fot the Matrix Orbital is already supported but read about some plans to support it a while ago.

Any chance someone can post the files up for the LCDplugin, as the 1 in the developers thread does not contain the SmartiePlugin.dll nor the GbpvrSmartieProxy.dll

Many thanks in advance

Really great news that we might get some development on this one!!

I've been patiently using gomers version for some time (shame he's still not around though) It has it's faults but is the only option for non Jalcd users.

LCD/VFD's are getting more popular and it's about time we had a update Smile

I'm no programming genius but am happy to test if needed.

Thanks again for resurecting this Smile

PS. My vote would be for a Smartie based plugin. It's easy to use and offers great options and configuration.
