Why do so few skins utilize the top bar in tv guide

I've put together a pack of hi-res channel logos; they are (obviously) specific for me in NC-US, but I thought I'd upload them in case they are of use to anyone else.

Now, the problem: I have been messing with the tv-guide in an attempt to tune it and make the icons clearer, and I think I've buggered it up (sorry jeff :o ). I've attached the skin file, with the timeline showStatus operator removed as that was giving me the problem.

When I had a recording scheduled, the red status bar was not showing up behind the timestamps, but rather above them (covering the clock). I cannot figure out how to move it down....

Also, if I try and access the TV Guide while a recording is in progress, I get an error to the tune of 'rectangle... cannot have a height or width of 0. Whether these two events are related, I don't know.

Could someone have a look for me and tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

For some reason, I'm having trouble uploading the channel logo zipfile (it's <2MB). I'll try putting it on the wiki.

That looks very similar to the error I had. It was occurring when I tried to open the guide, but now it's a little later in the morning it opened fine, so I suspect it is because the guide has scrolled past the offending entry.

I see sub has said he has a fix for this in the next release, so no biggie.

What are the bits on the skin files that do this?? I'd like to put it on my OSD guide as well.

Is that possible?

I have the following two lines in my skin file

<TextStyle name="TimesPeriods" color="White" typeFace="Arial" size="13" style="bold"/>

<SpecialElement name="TimePeriods" loc="50,146" showStatus="true"/>

I believe its the showStatus="true" that adds the extra functionality

Are they in the Tv guide skin?? Or the OSD skin file?

I have them in the tv guide one and it works really well, would like it in the OSD one as well.

They are in the TV guide, not sure that you can skin the OSD much at the moment

I tried it in the live guide/osd for and it never showed up... i 2nd the functionality isn't in there yet.
