My PVR150 remote works fine with MPEG (gbpvr) encoded files. With my other files (which are all DivX) the remote controls like fast forward, pause, stop, rewind - have no effect.

I can only press MENU and exit.

Does GBPVR hand off to another player for DivX that uses different functions/keystrokes to achieve these operations?

Oh to not be a newbie ... someday perhaps.

When I run out of old ShowShifter recordings to watch - this problem will go away, but that will take some time.

The most common cause of this is the fault in the divx software that changes the focus to another app when playback starts. The focus is shifted to the small 'divx' tasktray icon thingy, meaning the Hauppauge remote no longer works with GB-PVR, because the Hauppauge IR software only works with the app that has focus.

Its not a GB-PVR problem, and affects pretty much all software that plays divx files. I'm fairly sure someone posted some info on how to force the divx software to stop doing this (by removing the tray app somehow).

A lot of people have ended up uninstalling the divx software and using xvid instead.

thanks for the info... did not see that in my searches here before.
divx claim in their forums that this has been fixed in 6.1.1 beta....
however, after installing this to test... I have the same result. "¤%&/"%¤/!!!
Xvid is probably the way to go then.
