...any chance we could have it back?

I presume its something to do with the 'inset' feature, but it seems that GB-PVR eats all ESC keys as they never get through to, for example, 'My Videos' where ESC used to exit out of the current level (i.e. up a directory) but now does nothing.

i have always found that the Home and Esc keys in My Videos did not seem do what they were billed to, so that may be a bad example.

otherwise, ESC seems to work fine for me. actually pressing "ESC" on your keyboard doesn't do the job?

As chud pointed out, its up to the individual plugin what it does with the ESC key. It works on all the built in screens.

I guess 'My Videos' just doesnt do this.

Since upgrading to 0.96.08 (and .12) the behaviour appears to have changed, even though I haven't updated the 'My Videos' plugin. Pressing ESC on the keyboard doesn't work either (I used the 'debug.txt' trick to make sure my Hauppage remote was firing when the BACK key was pressed, and it is), which is why I thought perhaps GB-PVR was eating the ESC key rather than passing it on to the plugin.

Oh well, I can live with it, its just odd that it seems to have changed.

Sub, it must be tiring when we moan about such seemingly trivial things (I know what its like, I'm a software developer in real life) but overall I'm so pleased with GB-PVR and its transformed my family's TV watching habits and convinced the Mrs that all this 'media centre' stuff *is* worth it after all!

GB-PVR is, IMHO, a far better system than any of the other commercial offerings I've tried; or the free ones, for that matter. GAM, MediaPortal, all were tricky to set up, didn't work with my particular hardware, looked ugly, whatever. Fortunately for me, GB-PVR fit the bill perfectly. Thanks again for a great piece of work.
