I see the .pls files. How do you create them? And how do you find the info. For example, what would I do to add this station http://www.knac.com.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The netradio support is for shoutcast streaming, so the radio station has to support that mechanism for audio streaming. Head over to http://www.shoutcast.com and search for your radio station there, and hopefully you'll find them (and their associated .pls file).

Thats easy, thanks
What do you use to play the shoutcast stream. A modified XMMS or something else?

I dont use anything else to play the shoutcast stream. I wrote my own shoutcast directshow filter which is responsible for downloading and decoding the shoutcast stream data.

It works awesome. Â I have listened to one of the stations in London UK and I am in the states and I have yet to hear any kind of disruption. Â Great work.

I can get these streams to work with Real player but not with GB-PVR. Can you think of anything I am doing wrong? I realise that there is possibly a timeout problem on the MVP but surely not on my PC. BTW, I have a dialup connection to the Internet.

Most if not all of the .pls files are the broadband ones. You can look for slower ones on the shoutcast website but I doubt you will have an acceptable experience with dialup. Personally I'd just disable that menu option until I got broadband.

Paul, the next version will allow you to adjust the netradio preplay buffer size, which hopefully will help you. This is the number of bytes that will be buffered before playback starts.
