Hello all,

I hope someone can put me out of my misery, setup as follows
Latest gbpvr release
PVR 150 (latest drivers) using Svid in and line in sound
Output is just line out from onboard sound

All videos/live tv/net radio play fine no problems but after recording from TV and playing it back it's distorted and loud.. strange, my vol settings are normal, if i play back the mpg via WMP or somthing else that is fine too so i know what it records is fine just not when it plays it back through GBPVR.

So it's abit annoying to having to quit GBPVR just to watch recorded shows, i've tried deleting the reg vol key but that made no difference.

Help...

There's also a line-in audio bug in older 150 drivers.

Posts here, and links to drievrs that fix the problem for those encountering it: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?board=51.0

Yes i have also been on here, this is where i got the link for the latest 150 drivers, mine does not have the line in problem, only when gbpvr actually plays the recorded show, which i know is fine outside gbpvr.

maybe GBPVR is using a different audio decoder than WMP, in which the volume level has been maxed out?!?

Can this be changed?
I presume it's in the config part?
Decoder not playback? Right?

it should be using the decoders specified in the playback tab for your pre-recorded MPEG2 files (assuming you have specified ones). you can check to see if it is purely a problem with the playback process and not something else in GBPVR by using GBPVR to begin playing a recording, then stop it after a few seconds, go to the GBPVR installation directory and load the "lastgraph.grf" file into graphedit. this will show you what is being used to present the video and you can even play it in graphedit to check the sound. if the sound is bad then it is something specific to the graph being built (assuming it plays fine in WMP). if the sound is fine then it is something inside GBPVR...

Cool thx Chud i will take a look at that, yes tried the tweak util didn't make any difference.
It's definately something inside gbpvr thats not right when playing back.
