Firstly, congrats to ALL for a fantastic piece of software ! I use my GBPVR ,2 MVPs, and coax diplexers to pipe the GBPVR output to every TV in the house (including a 2nd satellite source for split screen on the big screen-comes in VERY HANDY watching the Sunday Ticket on Sunday afternoons! ) down existing coax (basically DirecTV in and GBPVR OUT down the same coax) and absolutely love it. Be happy to explain further if anyone's interested..

Anyway, I have one problem at the moment ...I can't seem to get the TV guide loaded for a channel I've added to my lineup.

I'm using an old DirecTV receiver which receives local channels in the 900 range. I previously did not have channel 064 (933 on my old receiver) in my channel lineup so I:
1. Logged into zap2it and enabled this channel. TV guide for this channel does work on zap2it.
2. Went to my capture source (PVR150) and added a new channel named 64 WAXN (call letters) w/ source channel of 933.
3. Updated EPG.
3. Went to channel lineup and changed 933 to 64 so that I can enter 6-4 on remote to tune to channel 64 instead of 933. (I think this also defines where the channel appears in the list..right ?

The channel shows up in the TV Guide list however it doesn't show what is on..the guide for that channel is empty. I've tried deleting the channel and re-adding it and I just keep getting more WAXN 64 channels in my channel list(CHANNEL tab in config) that I can't delete. More investigation uncovered channels in my TV Guide that don't seem to appear in the channel list-how do I get rid of them?

Any ideas as to why the guide for 64 is empty ?

Is the list of channels that are ENABLED supposed to be what is shown in the TV Guide and "tuneable" ?

I'd prefer not to have to EMPTY the EPG and lose all my scheduled recordings which is why I'm asking here first...much oblinged for any help you can provide !

I'd like to know how this is done. I have a cable signal inbound, satellite in the house and Svideo out on my vid card. Can I get the Sat and Svideo to other TV's without using an expensive modulator? I guess I would only need to get the Svideo out there since I can use one of my tuners to manage all my satellite tuning.

I don't know why you get this problem. However, do you have many recordings that are scheduled as "one time only"? Because I think (not making guarantees, though) that reocurring recordings do get readded once you update the EPG again, so if you only have season recordings I think you are safe to empty and update the EPG.

Hmm..how do you have Sat and Cable coming in..on 1 cable or two ? (Perhaps it's already diplexed ?). You should be able to get Satellite to the other TVs without a modulator (read how I do it below) but you'll probably need a modulator to get the Svideo to them.

Here's my setup:

Firstly my house was wired with ONE coax cable to each room of the house from a central point outside the house. I don't have CABLE..I have High Def DirecTV w/ cables coming from the dish to this central point outside the house.
In my PC running GBPVR, I have an Hauppauge 250 doing the recording and an old ATI card w/ Composite video & sound out which I pipe into a modulator which sends it to coax. In that same room (where the pc is), I need satellite signal coming INTO that room on the coax so I use a diplexer in the room. I have a DIPLEXER connected to the cable coming from the wall and connect the SATELLITE side to the satellite receiver and the ANTENNA side to the output of the modulator. The net result is 2 signals (Satellite & PC OUTPUT) going down 1 cable in opposite directions.

OUTSIDE the house, put another diplexer on that same coax cable and plug the satellite feed (from the dish) into the SATELLITE side and pipe the ANTENNA side to a regular coax splitter. Then connect the other coax cables running to the other rooms of the house to that signal splitter and tune TVs to channel 3 to watch your PC output (recorded shows or Live TV or picture show or whatever). This works for me because in the other rooms I have Satellite receivers connected to the VIDEO INPUT of the TV and don't use the TV's tuner.

I also use the same method to send the signal from the satellite box in the bedroom out the coax jack on the satellite receiver through a diplexer-back outside to another diplexer and IN to my Family room so I can watch 2 games on the bigscreen off the NFL Sunday ticket. (BTW, I was STUNNED to see how good the picture is; in split screen mode it's sharper than the HD picture coming from the HD Sat receiver in that very room). To make it even nicer, I plug that coax into the VCR input and the video/audio out of the VCR to the stereo so I can listen to the sound of that source through my stereo (in essence the vcr is acting as a demodulator). Finally, the BEST PART is that the satellite receiver in the bedroom just HAPPENS to have an RF remote which I can take to the family room and still switch channels on that receiver....( Wink ). Needless to say, with the 61" HDTV, 2 games on split screen, and wireless laptop to follow my fantasy team, I'm USELESS on Sundays ! Big Grin

I also have 2 MVPs HARDWIRED (ie. not wireless) which I use to watch recorded content so that someone can still use the PC while another is viewing recorded content.

Still have that original problem though..any idea how I get the guide for channel 64 to show ?

Ah, thats a nice setup. Several differences that would make it difficult for me. Can you recommend a cheap modulator?

I'd look on Ebay-there's tons out there....I did a quick look and the 1st one I found looks identical to the one I use:

You mentioned that your card has Svideo out..if you definitely need Svideo (vs. composite video) , you can't use the one above but here's an example of one that does handle Svideo:
