i'm having two problems, don't know if they are releated

I just ran out and bout a pvr-150mce and threw together a new machine around it. I'm ruuning xp pro but no service pack updates.

1st problem.

I created an account with zap2it and can log in through thier website fine, but when I select update epg I get a window telling me its retrieing epg data from zap2it fallowed by an instant error message stating my epg source settings might be wrong. The source is set to zap2it, the username and password are the same as the account I made in the site acceable through "click here" my subscription on that sight is listed as gold and due to expire 1/22/06 I've also added a line uo on that site and selected a handful of channels.

2nd problem.

with thay not wokrin I wnt ahead and manualy added 1 channel. Fox at channel 2. When I start gb-pvr amd go to live tv I can hear fox 2 coming out of the speakers but the window is black.

Possibly you have a firewall getting in the way? What is the error in your config.exe.log file?

Maybe you dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed?

Edit, Ok 1st problem cleared up

I added a second caprute source and went ahead and filled everyhing in the same (except name) and it updated the epg no porblem. Took about 2 minits Smile

As for the decoder thing, I do have direct x 9 installed. And when I run tunning assistant I can see whats on the channels. Are there things I should try and install or settings I might change in the playback tab to fix this?

more info

I did a qucktest now that the guide is working and recorded a few minits of a channel.

When I view the recording the video is fine. Only live tv seems to have the blank screen problem.

I dont know. Try fiddling with the Overlay/VMR9/VMR7 setting, or set the deinterlacing to 'encoder pass through'. One of these might help.

well. I got the video to work by updating the drivers for the 150. that gave me a second option in the drop down menue for one of the supported decoders.

new problem. The update caused windows to streatch the screen beyond the edges of the tv. I was able to shrink it back down with the display control pannel. But if I run GB-PVR in full screen mode it steatches it back out when I am in live TV.

Right now I'm not running gbpvr in fullscrean mode and the size of the window is good. but the start menue and top of the window are still there Sad
Is there a setting I can check to let me run in full screen mode but not streatch the live tv? Or do you know if there is a way to configure windows to not show the top of the window and the start menue? This is a dedicated machine so loosing some funcinality of the UI for windows is not a big deal.
